On Wednesday morning we made the possibly ill advised decision to drive from
Forte dei Marmi, down the coast to Monte Argentario. I didn't have time to book
a hotel for Wednesday night so once we got to Monte Argentario we spent some
of the afternoon looking for a hotel in Porto Santo Stefano and Porto Ecrole we
decided to check into a completely empty hotel.
We had dinner in Porto Ecrole which is a very cute port, with the odd juxtaposition
of fishing village, high end shops and what looked like literally a trillion dollars worth
of yachts sitting in the water. After dinner we went back to the hotel hoping to get
some sleep no such luck. The boys keep us up for a second night which was pretty hellish.
