DUCK

Day two with no transportation. Our landlords were nice enough to take us in
to Camucia this morning to go to the market. The boys enjoyed seeing fuzzy
little yellow ducklings. We bought a few heirloom tomatoes and some large
purple and green onions. On the way back up the hill we stopped at a neighbors
house and picked up a bottle of delicious homemade olive oil which we have
been dipping bread in since we got home.

After lunch I took Peter on a long walk to Castel Girardi, which was pretty muddy
with all of the snow melting. Not having a car has given us time to plan out our next
road trip. So far it looks like we will be driving to Forte dei Marmi spending a night
there, then driving to Lugano, Switzerland for two nights, then down to Venice for a
night, then home to Cortona.  After spending close to a week in all stuck on the hill
we need to get a way.  We hope to get the car back tomorrow. We have also found
a babysitter so we are really looking forward to exploring the local restaurants
without the kids.
